Privacy

Omny is built to keep your data with you. "We" means Wunison, the maker of Omny.

What stays on your computer

• your conversations, facts, documents and settings, in a database on your computer;
• your project files, which Omny reads and changes only inside the folder you linked;
• your API keys.

We do not receive any of it.

What is sent, and to whom

• To the AI provider you chose: your message and the parts of your project the model needs for the answer, straight from your computer to that provider, under its own privacy policy. With a local model, nothing leaves your computer.
• To our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, when you buy: your payment and contact details, handled under its policy. We receive your email and the order, to give you the license and support.
• License checks: when you activate a license, and about once a day while you use Omny, the app sends your license key and the name of your computer to Lemon Squeezy to confirm that the license is valid. Nothing else.
• To GitHub: to check whether a new version of Omny exists (you can turn this off in Settings), and to download updates.
• To web pages you ask Omny to read.

What Omny does not do

• no account or sign-in;
• no telemetry, analytics or tracking of how you use Omny;
• no sending your conversations, files or keys to us.

Reporting a problem

"Report a problem" opens a new issue on GitHub, filled in with the version, your system and the last few errors. Nothing is sent by Omny: you read the text, edit it and send it yourself, or close it. Errors are kept in memory only, with your home folder and anything that looks like a key hidden.
